Cherry Tree Give-Away

Macon, GA--- The Cherry Blossom Festival and Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission are pleased to announce the 2007 Cherry Tree give-away will take place this Friday, December 7th from 8:30 a.m. until the distribution is complete. Trees may be picked up at the Securian Building at 2960 Riverside Drive. Trees are available on a first come, first serve basis and there is a limit of 2 trees per person.

Each year the Cherry Blossom Festival and Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission distribute approximately 6,500 Japanese Yoshino Cherry Trees as a gift from the Fickling Family Foundation to community residents. Cherry Trees will also be sold during the Cherry Blossom Festival in the Cherry Treasures Building in Central City Park.
